Cian Bannon

musculoskeletal & SPORTs PHYSIOTHERAPIST

(Bsc. in Physiotherapy, MISCP, CORU registered)

Cian is a CORU registered physiotherapist and graduated from Teesside University in England with a degree in MSc. (pre-reg) Physiotherapy in 2021. Prior to this he graduated with a BSc. (Hons) Occupational Therapy (OT) Degree from Trinity College Dublin in 2018.

While in the UK over the past 3 years he worked a lot within the NHS; such as acute medicine, orthopaedics, respiratory and MSK outpatients as well as progressing to a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist position in the process. Here, he worked with patient presenting with both acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries, gaining experience in post-op rehabilitation as well as treating different musculoskeletal conditions in people of all ages. He worked alongside specialist physiotherapists, growing his interest in hip and knee injuries.

Cian has a keen interest in sports rehabilitation and performance and is working towards completing his UKSCA qualification in the near future. He endeavours to consistently engage in CPD and upskill, and regularly engaging in learning development. Using elements of his OT degrees, he views the person as a whole, and using this to help guide clients back to a level higher than they were prior to injury.

Outside of the clinic in his spare time, Cian enjoys the gym, Crossfit and playing GAA for his club team Gowna in Cavan. He also played rugby growing up for 10 years. He has also worked with the Naas CBS schools team recently, providing match day cover for them.
