Chartered Physiotherapist Órla Armstrong joins the SPARC team with over 10 years of experience in the musculoskeletal and sporting field. She qualified from Glasgow Caledonia University with an honours degree in Physiotherapy and is currently undertaking a masters in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the University of Ulster.
Órla currently works in the Irish Rugby high performance centre with the Irish Mens 7s team. Prior to this role, she spent three years at Connacht Rugby working with both Senior and Academy players.
Throughout her career Órla has been involved with county level GAA. She was a member of the backroom team with the Galway Senior Hurlers for their All-Ireland winning championship run in 2017. Órla has worked with Galway Senior Football, Galway U-21 football, Galway U21 Hurling and Galway Minor Hurling teams.
Órla has a great passionate for movement and challenging its boundaries. Bringing this into her practice, Órla is a qualified mat Pilates instructor and has recently embarked on her Yoga Teacher Training. She enjoys staying active through running, strength training and swimming.
